MORE FOREIGN MINISTERS OF ASEAN DIALOGUE PARTNERS ARRIVE FOR HIGH-LEVEL MEETS

SEPANG, July 9 (Bernama) -- Three more foreign ministers of ASEAN dialogue partners have arrived here to participate in high-level related sessions held in conjunction with the 58th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM).

They are Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong, who arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at 5.40 pm, followed by Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya at 5.55 pm, and India’s Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita at 6.21 pm.

They will attend a series of meetings, including the Post-Ministerial Conference with ASEAN, the 15th East Asia Summit Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and the 32nd ASEAN Regional Forum, scheduled for July 10 and 11.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Adviser for Foreign Affairs Md Touhid Hossain arrived at KLIA at 6.40 pm, followed by New Zealand Foreign Minister Winston Peters at 8.40 pm, then South Korean First Vice Foreign Minister Park Yoon Joo 9.40 pm touched down at 10 pm, and Papua New Guinea Foreign Minister Justin Tkatchenko at 10.20 pm.

Later, Canada's Foreign Minister Anita Anand is expected to arrive at KLIA at 11.41 pm.

The 58th AMM and related meetings, which began on Tuesday, are being held under Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship for 2025 with the theme ‘Inclusivity and Sustainability’.

More than 1,500 delegates from ASEAN and its external partner countries are participating in 24 ministerial-level meetings spanning four days.
