1.WORKS ON METRO LINE 2 BEGINS IN JANUARY -- VIETNAMPLUS

Ho Chi Minh City announced that the construction of its Metro Line 2 will begin in January next year. The Ben Thanh–Tham Luong line is estimated to cost RM7 billion (US$1.8 billion) and is expected to be completed in five years.

2.EMERGENCY FUNDS TO ASSIST FLOOD-HIT LOCALITIES -- VIETNAMPLUS

The government will allocate RM107 million (US$26 million) from the 2025 central budget contingency fund to assist areas recently affected by storms. The funds will be used to resettle flood victims, repair schools, health facilities, roads and irrigation systems.
